From the author's pen Jamshedpur as a city always fascinates its citizen and visitors alike. No wonder that all Jamshedpurians are so obsessed with the city that as soon the name of Jamshedpur comes one’s mind is filled with pride. Ask any one from the city staying anywhere in the world they always long to be here. A feeling common to all is, although modest in size and scale, Jamshedpur is definitely the best place to dwell, and it truly is. With such feelings, it was always a dream to do something for Jamshedpur. The world of internet is so fascinating and what other medium to do my bit than develop a website for Jampot (as it is popularly known among teens). But then at that time I had no technical know-how. As the world of web started to expand, a couple of websites were launched on Jamshedpur. But all of them lacked in content. They all provided at best some historical information. With some skill sets in my armoury, I set out to launch my own website. At the very outset it was just a five page website hosted on a free server, with hardly any content and literally no visitors. But after continuous effort and dedication, the website today has more than 300 pages, and is undoubtedly the best resource available on net about Jamshedpur. Read the complete story ..... Although, the website was launched after the dotcom meltdown had already started, we too saw bad weather. With the economy in bad shape, we haven’t manage to get any sponsors and there is no source of revenue at this juncture. But we are still committed to carry on with the site.
